Ramey ‘Coach’ Stroud

Coach grew up in the sands of Nevada. It was only natural that he began his motorcycle career as a desert racer.  For many years he learned the skills of professional motorcycle competition from national champion trainers and riders.

Eventually Ramey trained for and was accepted as a professional firefighter. During his 20 years in the fire service Coach helped develop and present training programs for local, state and national firefighters. All the while Captain Stroud kept building, tuning, riding and racing superbikes, motocross, rally, desert, drag racers, trials and adventure bikes. He’s done it all.

After retiring as the State Director of Fire Service Training in Oregon Coach went back to school to earn his Doctorate. After graduation he turned his 60-acre Oregon ranch into a world-class motorcycle training center. Coach’s love of teaching is stronger than ever.

Coach’s racing program was amazing. At the age of 53 he won the Best in the Desert off-road racing championships included riding the longest off-road race in American history– 2,000 miles– and doing it solo against three rider teams 20 years to his junior. He has earned podium finishes in the prestigious Alcan5000 Rally, medaled at the International Six Day Enduro and completed IronButt endurance events all over North America. Coach is also a past Motocross Racer of the Year and recipient of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Foundation Individual of the Year award for his training and safety programs.

Coach helps professional racers bring home the gold– in the dirt and on the track. Coach also helps endurance riders finish grueling international competitions. He loves to help adventure riders learn to explore the world and enjoy miles of smiles.

Helping others do well is what Ramey ‘Coach’ Stroud is all about.
